Celebration Party Plan
In Japan, there are many authentic celebrations and national holidays throughout the year and it is the custom to gather together and enjoy dish which is supposed to bring good luck.
Sea bream is often consumed for traditional celebration as it is said to be auspicious fish since ancient times. Enjoy traditional Japanese party in one of JUNISOH’s private rooms and experience authentic Japanese culture. Party plan is available from 9,500yen per person including celebration Kaiseki and the usage of private room.
January 1: New Year’s Day
In Japan, we enjoy traditional breakfast called Osechi – an array of colorful dishes packed in special boxes called Jubako. Many of the food items represent prosperity, good fortune and health.
January 9: Coming-of-age Day (Seijin no hi)
A day of celebration for those who come of age (20 years old). It is a tradition that women in new adults wear long sleeve Kimono called Furisode and celebrate with friends and families.
February 3: The traditional end of winter (Setsubun)
On the day of Setsubun, there is the custom of throwing roasted soybeans to ward off evil. It is a tradition to eat rolled sushi called Ehomaki.
March 3：Girl’s Festival (Hinamatsuri)
Small dolls in traditional court dress are display to wish for the health and happiness of younger girls. Chirashi sushi, clam and rhombus-shaped rice cake called Hishimochi are often consumed.
